We invest in our teams, provide industry leading training, and create opportunities for long term career growth.Job Title: Construction Landscape ForemanLocation: Bowie, MDJob Summary:Responsible for the direction of crew activities on job site, according to pre-established schedules, standards and procedures to provide a high quality of service, as directed by supervisor.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret plans, specifications, RFIs, budget worksheets, and submittals packages for each assigned project using iPads, laptops, and other assigned technologyAssign daily tasks to crew members and ensure complianceRecord daily activities and complete crew time sheets as instructed by SuperintendentPerform landscape installation tasks, including but not limited to: planting, site furnishing installation, soil installation, sodding/seeding, drainage installation, pavers, etc.Safe operation of landscape equipment, including but not limited to: wheelbarrows, power tools, backpack blowers, skid steers, and dingos.Report equipment in need of repair to shop mechanicSupervise safe loading and unloading of equipmentAssist with initial and on-going training of crewsDiscuss job site observations with supervisor on a regular basisEnsure adherence to company policiesDevelop and maintain a positive work relationship with supervisor, peers and subordinatesPromote and maintain safe working conditionsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position supervises a crew of two to six crew membersSecondary Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform minor irrigation repairs and maintenancePerform minor in-field maintenance and repairs of equipmentEvaluate crews’ performance on a consistent basis and report to Superintendent·Facilitate conflict resolution between crew membersOther duties as assignedQualificationsEducationAt least 3 – 5 years commercial landscape installation experience requiredLanguage SkillsAbility to communicate in EnglishAbility communicate effectively with crew members and SuperintendentsBi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not requiredMathematical SkillsNoneReasoning AbilityApply common sense understanding to carry out tasksDeal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variablesCertificates, Licenses and RegistrationsValid driver license issued by the state where employedCPR/First Aid, OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 is preferredOther Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to operate commercial landscape equipment and toolsAbility to complete tasks assigned in a timely mannerAbility to motivate and lead subordinatesStrong commitment to high quality of work and customer servicePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
