Our exemplary customer service, our principle-centered business philosophy and our team-based operating approach are key to our success and growth.We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Finance team!The Business Unit Financial Analyst will lead, evaluate, and support financial implications of the business unit's strategy, operations, financial outcomes, and overall performance targets. This position will provide data driven insight and support for enhanced decision making to drive success of our customers, business unit and GreatAmerica Financial Services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong financial acumen combined with analytical skills and solution driven mindset.As a Business Unit Financial Analyst, you will:Partner with Business Unit Leaders in development of the business unit's operating and financial strategiesAssist in development of the business unit's financial models to forecast operating results, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements. Models would include annual budget and longer term (i.e. 5 year) financial planContinuously analyze the performance of the business unit against financial plans, identifying areas of opportunity, areas with positive and negative trends, and areas of concern. Once identified, work with business unit leadership team to develop and implement plans to outperform financial plansWork with business unit stakeholders, utilizing data and analysis, to quantify financial and operational impacts in support of strategic decision makingMake recommendations to leadership team regarding revenue growth or cost saving opportunities that align to longer term financial plansAssist in monthly reporting within the business unit and to the leadership teamPartner with business unit and the data analytics team on the design and creation of interactive reports and dashboards to inform and drive action by business unitsStrategize and champion implementation of program pricing, with a focus on profitability and customer successContribute to other key areas of the business unit which have significant financial implications such as pricing, compensation plans, staffing levels, etc.Proactively promote and participate in process improvement initiatives within the business unitPromote a data driven culture throughout GreatAmerica via active participation in a data champion community utilized for knowledge and best practice sharingPerform other duties as requiredTo be successful in this role you will need:EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or related fieldCPA is a plusExperienceNew college graduate or Finance professional with 1-3 years finance and accounting experienceComputer SkillsExcel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau or PowerBI a plusOther RequirementsMust have exceptional analytical, data management and problem-solving skillsMust be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess outstanding computer skillsMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be an organized, creative, team-player with initiative who responds well to challenges and demonstrates sound business judgmentSharing rewards is an integral part of our culture.
