We offer services in 17 counties throughout the region and employ approximately 1,000 people in a variety of professional, clinical, and direct support roles. Our only daylight positions that are currently open are weekend positions (every other weekend). We have part-time evening and overnight positions in East Berlin, New Oxford, Biglerville, Hanover, Manchester, York and Carlisle. All full-time and part-time positions require a weekend (every other weekend) and holiday rotation. NOTE: Pay rates are based upon experience.Our current Full-time available positions are:Windsor: Evening (2p-10p) w/ weekend rotationHanover: Evening (2p-10p) w/ weekend rotationBiglerville: Daylight/Evening (11a-7p) w/ weekend rotationAbout the JobSkills is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in our residential group homes. DSPs are the key to the services we provide people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The job is challenging and rewarding. As a DSP you will:Use person-centered thinking to thoroughly understand the wants and needs of the people you support and what is important to/for themPlan parties, games, crafts, outings, and other activities based on the interests of people you supportDrive people to and from fun community activities and appointmentsHelp the people you support build meaningful relationships in their communities and become a part of their support system at homeSupport people with their daily living needs, independence skills, and personal care (e.g., grooming, bathing, feeding, cooking, cleaning, etc.)Administer medication(s), after you receive thorough trainingComplete documentation, as needed Check out the videos on our Career site for more information about what it's like to work at Skills!
