Brief DescriptionShipping & Receiving Specialist Meyer Laboratory is seeking a self-directed, highly motivated individual to join our Meyer family as Shipping & Receiving Specialist. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, shipping, receiving and inventory operations. This role ensures accurate and timely movement of materials and finished goods, maintains compliance with safety and quality standards, and supports operational efficiency through strong organization, communication and attention to detail. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist serves as a key resources within the warehouse by supporting team members, coordinating workflow priorities and maintaining accurate inventory and shipping documentation.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Support Conduct daily start-of-shift and end-of-shift standard work activities. Demonstrate consistent leadership and serve as a positive role model for warehouse employees. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to warehouse entry-level employees. Support a culture aligned with company core values: People, Performance, Passion, Purpose, and Perseverance. Assist management in communicating priorities, identifying operational issues, and recommending process improvements. Lead by example in safety, quality, organization, and productivity standards.Shipping & Receiving Operations Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to meet customer schedules and operational deadlines. Determine shipping priorities and appropriate shipping methods based on schedules, SOPs, and customer requirements. Direct movement of products and orders from manufacturing to shipping and receiving with no errors. Verify accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related documentation. Assist with loading, staging, palletizing, labeling, and preparing LTL/FTL shipments. Support receiving operations, including product receipt, inspection, and inventory transactions.Inventory & ERP Management Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records within the ERP system. Demonstrate proficiency using NetSuite ERP to support manufacturing and shipping operations. Facilitate weekly cycle counts and actively participate in inventory audits. Ensure inventory accuracy through proper counting, measurement, and transaction processing. Understand and support warehouse pick schedules and picking processes. Operate powered industrial trucks and maintain required certifications. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization by proper bin location management.General Warehouse Responsibilities Assist with shipping and receiving activities as business needs require. Maintain flexibility in daily job duties and operational support. Meet physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, lifting, climbing, crouching, and operating equipment for extended periods. Flexible attitude to help where needed including special projects as directed by management.Education / Work Experience & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or related experience preferred. Experience operating powered industrial trucks/forklifts strongly preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective communication including writing, speaking, collaboration, customer, and teamwork skills. Organization and time management skills that enable working and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Quick and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) High performance leader that is a self-starter with personal accountability and follow-through.Travel & Physical RequirementsMinimal travel ( Lifting required up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and lift throughout the full workday. Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with company safety guidelines.
