Position Overview:
The Cabinet Builder sets up and operates a variety of machines and uses hand tools to fabricate, assemble, repair, and finish aircraft interior components and high-grade furniture using honeycomb composite panels. This role requires the ability to read drawings, plan work sequences, perform precision fabrication, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
Essential Functions:
It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies and procedures.
Study computer-generated and manual drawings to determine specifications and plan the sequence of cutting, shaping, and assembly operations
Mark outlines, dimensions, and reference points on materials
Set up and operate machines, including power saws, drills and related equipment
Cut, shape, and trim component parts to ensure accurate dimensions and snug joint fit
Bore holes for inserts, pins, dowels, and screws
Glue, fit, clamp, and assemble parts and subassemblies into complete units
Drive fasteners, pins, or screws into joints to reinforce assemblies
Sand, scrape, and prepare surfaces and joints for finishing
Install hardware such as hinges, catches, strikers, drawer pulls, and slides
Support builds and repairs while maintaining quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship
Overtime may be required based on workload, deadlines, or operational requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
1–5 years of related cabinetmaking, or furniture-building experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1–3 years of experience operating a variety of hand and power tools
Mechanical, industrial, or aviation interior experience preferred
Ability to perform basic to advanced math, including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, geometry, area, and volume calculations
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
Basic computer proficiency: experience with Outlook, ERP manufacturing systems, shop floor management, and preferred time and attendance systems
Aviation or aircraft interior experience preferred but not required
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
