The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands‑on Databricks Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data and analytics solutions supporting government mission needs. This role requires strong practical experience with core Databricks platform capabilities, modern data architecture patterns, and disciplined software engineering practices within regulated SDLC environments. In this role, you will apply AI‑enabled analytics and machine learning techniques to solve real‑world operational and decision‑support problems.

You Have
3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
2+ years of experience with the Databricks platform
Experience in PySpark and Spark SQL
Experience with Databricks clusters, jobs or workflows, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog in production environments
Experience integrating Databricks with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise SDLC tooling
Knowledge of Python for data engineering and ML workflows
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services
Ability to operate effectively in structured, compliance‑driven government environments
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have
Experience supporting federal government or regulated industry programs
Experience implementing ML or AI solutions in Databricks, including MLflow‑based lifecycle management
Knowledge of streaming frameworks, data quality frameworks, or observability tooling
Databricks or Cloud Platform Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
Compensation
Salary ranges for this position are $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible for Booz Allen's benefit programs.
