Wentworth Health Partners Coastal Neurology Services has been providing adults and children with comprehensive and trusted care since 1983. Our board-certified physicians specialize in prevention, diagnosis, and management of an array of neurological disorders, including headaches, epilepsy, autism, ADHD, neuromuscular disease, neuropathy, sleep disorders, small-fiber polyneuropathy, stroke and more. Our Neurology practices are located at 10 Members Way in Dover, NH, and 73 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH.
We are seeking a 40-hour Triage RN to join our Neurology team Monday through Friday from 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
The initial 90‑day training period will be on‑site, with time split between our Dover, NH and Portsmouth, NH offices. After successful completion of training, this role will transition to a hybrid (work‑from‑home) schedule, with one day on‑site at either practice location.
Job Summary
Responsible for patient care and support within our hospital's outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.
Essential Functions
Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post‑procedure care.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse (RN) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0‑1 year required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1‑2 years preferred
Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.
