Job SummaryCoordinates the flow of information from the principal to students, staff and the communityCoordinates the operation of the school office, including overseeing the work of the clerical staffPrepares reports, correspondence, newsletters, evaluations, and requisitions, etc.Maintains accurate records of employee attendance and payrollMaintains accurate records of budget accounts and an efficient filing systemPrepares and transmits required reports such as payroll, health, accident, building usages, employee attendance, immunization, etc.Orders and maintains office and building suppliesKeeps accurate records of supply accounts balancesMaintains student educational, attendance and child accounting recordsSupervises school clinic, aiding students who visit clinic and contacting the appropriate teacher, administrator, and /or parent as appropriateResponsible for confidential and sensitive materialsComplete basic medical procedures including diabetes care, epipen injections, etc.Performs other related duties as assignedQualificationsExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications and Google ApplicationsExperience with Mistar preferredFinance and budgeting experience preferredExcellent organizational, computation and spelling skillsWorking knowledge of basic office procedure and the operation of common office machinesDemonstrated ability to supervise the work of othersDemonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers, students, and the publicOutstanding communications and customer service skills required.Previous school experience preferred.Working ConditionsE-1, $18.57-$24.97/Hour, 10.25 month position; Start date: August 2026CompensationA comprehensive and competitive benefits package including health/dental/vision/life and long-term disability insurance.Membership in the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement Systemwww.michigan.gov/ors.Application ProcedureAll applicants who wish to be considered for this position must complete the on-line application and submit a cover letter and resume.
