Education Advisor/College Admissions Assistant
Job DescriptionWe are looking to hire a bilingual Educational Advisor to be a part of our College Counseling team. Your role is to guide our students through their academic journey by providing advice, scheduling counseling meetings with our college counselors, maintain students’ records, and monitor their College Application process. Additionally, there will be a sales aspect to this position as you will speak with parents and walk them through our services and programs that will benefit their children.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Academic Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university (required) Master's degree in Academic Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university (preferred) 1 year sales experience (preferred) Knowledgable of the College Admissions Process nationwide (required)Bilingual in Mandarin (preferred) Own and manage a strategic pipeline, outbound sales process, conducting high volume cold calls and messages through social mediaBecome an expert in Masterprep programs and services in order to sell effectivelyAssist in college counseling meetings and preparing meeting notes.Promptly respond to inquiries and questions from students and parents via email, text message, or phone callProviding support to the administration team by maintaining records, preparing reports, and handling administrative tasks.Monitor student’s College Application Program progress (e.g., LoR, School deadlines, special requirements, interview deadlines, essay progress, Common Application, progress monitoring, etc.)Collect invoices and follow up on unpaid invoicesReport to the Educational Advisor Manager on the progress of each studentProfessional communication skills (both spoken and written)Proven experience assisting students with essay reviewCompetent in Google Suite productsAble to work independently and collaborate with a teamEnthusiastic about working with students and parentsAble to maintain strict confidentialityHighly organized and detail-oriented (attention to detail and accuracy are imperative)Ability to meet schedules and deadlinesGood judgment and decision-making abilitiesGood problem-solving skillsGood planning skillsHighly responsiveHighly proactiveHighly reliableIntegritySchedule:Monday - SundayHours: Part time between 15-20 hours per weekTravel may be required but will occur less than 5% of the time.Flexible work from home options available.
