Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Experiential Learning
The Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Experiential Learning (CEEL) reports to the Director of Community Engagement and Experiential Learning and provides collaborative leadership and support for CEEL programs and initiatives, specifically, the Lewis University Community Schools Consortium (LUCSC). The Assistant Director will support engagement with school partners, non-profit organizations, small businesses, and other entities to facilitate mutually beneficial relationships with Lewis faculty and staff members that result in community thriving. NOTE: The Assistant Director position is fully funded by the federal Full-Service Community Schools grant.Please click the link for more information on our benefits Office of Human Resources | Benefit.ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Director is responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituents, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Lasallian Catholic higher education. More specifically, the Assistant Director will:Promote and facilitate all CEEL and LUCSC programs in cooperation with the Director and other teammates;Manage data collection and storage to ensure smooth reporting processes;Maintain Collaboratory or other tools used to collect and analyze relevant data;Create and maintain structures, documentation, policies, and operational systems for the CEEL programs, including risk management, relationship articulation, etc.;Lead the student employment program, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and provision of ongoing support;Facilitate communication with campus and community partners;Develop and offer programming for students, faculty, staff, and community partners to deepen understanding of community engagement and community schools;Promote CEEL and LUCSC through web content, social media, course schedules and other tools, as well as internal and external presentations;Network with Lasallian and other higher education institutions to learn and share resources while fostering association;Affiliate with appropriate professional organizations;Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsTwo years of experience in related areas; • Demonstrated commitment to community engagement and belonging;Welcoming and inclusive approach to collaboration and workplace activities;Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in partnership development and maintenance;Strong organizational skills, especially related to data collection and management;Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Preferred Qualifications* Fluency in Spanish preferred;* Master's degree preferredEssential Duties Work hoursMonday- Friday from 8:30 am- 5:00 pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be requested with advance notice.
