Pharmacist Location: Glenwood Springs, CO Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $3,120 to $3,280 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 20 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $78.00 - $82.00/Hourly. Summary: A Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and reviewing medications to ensure safe and effective use. The pharmacist works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide appropriate medication therapy and counsel patients on the proper use of their prescriptions. Responsibilities: Interprets medication orders; accurately transcribes to and maintains computerized patient medication profiles. Accurately compounds and dispenses pharmaceuticals, including IV admixture preparations, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products. Complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Issues controlled substances to patient care area and maintains records as required by law. Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose. Performs pharmokinetic drug dosing per hospital protocol. Accurately reads, extracts, and interprets patient chart information. Requirements Requirements: Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree.
