Sr. Software Developer

*Job Overview* Vicrez is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to support the ongoing development, optimization, and modernization of our e-commerce platform. This role involves new development and maintenance, working on front-end and back-end system integrations, performance improvements, and feature enhancements. *Responsibilities* * E-Commerce Platform Development & Maintenance: Support current and future e-commerce applications and systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance. * System Evaluation & Optimization: Assess the existing system for performance bottlenecks, outdated components, and areas for improvement. * Technical Strategy & Upgrades: Lead the upgrade process for the platform, ensuring compatibility with modern technologies. * Front-End Development: Build and enhance customer-facing pages using modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js. * Back-End & API Development: Develop and maintain API-driven integrations between the front-end and back-end systems, ensuring seamless data exchange. * Service & System Integrations: Implement and optimize third-party services, including payment gateways, order management, and analytics tools. * Performance Tuning & Security Enhancements: Work on optimizing page load speeds, caching mechanisms, and data retrieval for a high-performing user experience. * Collaboration & Project Execution: Work closely with internal departments and third-party resources or services as needed to ensure project deadlines are met and high-quality code is delivered. * Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit tests, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure software reliability. *Required Qualifications:* * Strong JavaScript and modern front-end framework experience (React, Vue.js, or Next.js). * Proficiency in back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, or equivalent). * Experience working with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integrating third-party services. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and DevOps best practices. * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams and external partners as needed. *Bonus (Preferred) Qualifications:* * Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD). * Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda). * Experience with Headless Commerce. * Experience with CI/CD Pipelines. * Knowledge of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) & Static Site Generation (SSG). * Experience with API Rate Limiting & Caching Strategies. * Experience with Caching Technologies (Redis, Varnish, Memcached). * Experience with Elasticsearch. * Experience with Microservices Architecture. * Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). * Experience with DevOps Practices & Security Best Practices. *Equal Opportunity Employer:* We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
