You believe that integration is more than just a checklist—it’s about building relationships, solving real problems, and leaving both Synopsys and the acquired company stronger than before.What You'll Be DoingLeading the technical and operational integration of Ansys into Synopsys from pre-LOI planning through post-close execution, ensuring a seamless transition for all teams and functionsServing as the primary point of contact for Synopsys business leaders, fielding questions and resolving issues throughout the integration processPartnering with cross-functional teams across Product, Sales, Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance, and IT to build and execute a comprehensive integration project plan tailored to the dealEstablishing and tracking integration metrics, drafting reports, and presenting progress and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholdersDriving continuous improvement in Synopsys’ integration playbook, incorporating lessons learned from the Ansys integration and evolving best practices for future acquisitionsSupporting divestiture and decommissioning projects as needed, ensuring consistent risk management and control practicesOnce the Ansys integration is complete, leading integration efforts for future Synopsys acquisitions, managing and mentoring cross-functional integration teams to deliver on performance excellence and consistencyThe Impact You Will HaveEnsuring the successful integration of Ansys into Synopsys, realizing strategic goals and minimizing business disruption from day oneBuilding trust and strong partnerships with leaders and teams across both Synopsys and Ansys, creating a model for future integrationsDelivering integrations that meet or exceed defined metrics for success—on time, on budget, and with clear accountabilityEnhancing Synopsys’ reputation for operational excellence in M&A, both internally and externallyCreating a positive experience for acquired personnel, smoothing their transition into Synopsys’ culture and processesImproving and standardizing integration processes, raising the bar for future deals and setting up the company for continued growthIdentifying and mitigating risks early, ensuring compliance and business continuity throughout integration and divestiture projectsWhat You'll NeedBachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related discipline preferredMinimum 10 years’ experience leading M&A integration projects as the overall project lead in a software companyFormal project management certification (e.g., PMP) or significant equivalent experience managing large, complex projectsProven track record building relationships across functions and at all levels, including acquired company leadershipExceptional organizational and time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities without losing focusStrong customer orientation, with a knack for making integration a positive experience for both acquired personnel and Synopsys stakeholdersWillingness to travel up to 20% as integration projects requireWho You AreYou can explain a complex integration tradeoff to a VP in two sentences—without losing what matters to the businessYou spot risks and roadblocks before they become issues, and you have a plan to address themYou build trust quickly with new teams, helping acquired leaders navigate uncertainty with transparency and empathyYou adapt your communication style to fit your audience, whether you’re in the weeds with IT or presenting to the executive teamYou thrive on collaboration, pulling together cross-functional groups and making sure everyone is moving toward the same goalYou believe in continuous improvement and aren’t afraid to refine the playbook after every dealThe Team You'll Be Part OfYou’ll join Synopsys’ dedicated M&A Integration team, engaging from pre-LOI through post-close to deliver end-to-end integration—starting with Ansys and, after its completion, leading future Synopsys acquisitions.
