The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the credit policy and analytics function, with a focus on small business financing and emerging embedded finance products. This pivotal role involves managing the risk appetite through advanced decisioning models, leading the development and implementation of AI/ML strategies, and supporting the challenge of business operations through data and data science-based business intelligence. The VP will also be tasked with partnering with cross-functional teams to productionize strategies, leveraging various data sources to enhance the credit strategy, and identifying opportunities to optimize the credit funnel.Applicants for the VP of Credit and Business Intelligence position at the company should have 8-10 years' of credit and/or analytics experience, with a preference for those with 3+ years' of direct merchant/SMB risk experience. A deep knowledge of underwriting using various data sources, particularly in the context of unsecured credit risk, is essential. The role requires a proven track record in leading teams, scaling analytics functions, and implementing business intelligence-based optimization strategies. Proficiency in SQL and Python or R is necessary, with experience in BI tools and cloud data platforms being a plus.
