Job DescriptionSolar SurveyorSUMMARYMortenson is currently seeking a Surveyor that will be responsible for performing survey and mapping of construction measurements and advise team members during all stages of the construction project through direct surveys and layout support.RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and operate Trimble GPS equipment, including base station, SCS 900 software, GCS 900, and laser levelCare for, clean, and use surveying tools and equipmentPerform basic surveying computations and plan readingPerform survey note takingSurvey existing conditions of proposed work sitesGuide new construction work through layoutVerify locations of structuresBuild and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsPerform all other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS Minimum one year of related construction experienceCTS level 1 or equivalent preferredCurrent driver's licenseAbility to operate equipment including but not limited to Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser levelDetail orientationAbility to work independentlyActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
