Partner Launch Manager (Acquiring/Underwriting)
Overview:
As a Partner Launch Manager, you will be essential in driving both new and existing payment partners' success using our NMI Payment solution. Your main role will involve overseeing a smooth onboarding of merchants, advising partners closely on the underwriting and acquiring process, considering pricing strategies, and fostering communication between partners and internal teams. You will serve as a key advisor on payment and acquiring processes, underwriting procedures, and pricing strategies both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Relationship Management:
Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing payment partners.
Maintain consistent communication with existing partners to resolve any payments related concerns or questions.
Work collaboratively with partners to streamline merchant onboarding and address challenges encountered during the process.
Pricing Strategy:
Lead discussions on pricing with partners to ensure it meets merchant needs and is competitive within the market.
Handle specific pricing inquiries on a case-by-case basis, negotiating merchant terms as needed.
Advise partners on pricing decisions and strategies, drawing on industry trends and competitive analyses.
Underwriting Support:
Guide partners through the underwriting requirements needed for merchants.
Keep partners informed about updates and changes in underwriting procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Facilitate communications between partners and internal underwriting teams to accelerate processes and address issues.
Internal Advisory Role:
Act as an internal expert, offering insights and recommendations to the launch team on payment processes and partner management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes and enhance the merchant onboarding experience.
Educational Support:
Educate partners on the payment acquisition process, underwriting criteria, and operational best practices.
Provide training sessions or materials to partners to deepen their understanding of our payment solutions and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
Direct Merchant Engagement:
Optionally engage directly with merchants at the partner's discretion, offering advisory support on pricing and underwriting.
Help merchants complete underwriting applications and resolve any related questions or concerns.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse environment
Minimum 5 years of experience in payments processing industry with business development, partner and/or client relationship management, or direct sales/service.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficient in building and maintaining relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
Strong understanding of underwriting processes and payment industry regulations, including PCI DSS knowledge.
Analytical mindset capable of interpreting market trends and pricing data.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Optional: Experience in direct merchant interaction or in a client-facing role.
