Structural Estimator

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shell Construction Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for structural (shell) construction projects, including concrete, masonry, structural steel, and structural framing. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, industry experience, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. THIS IS AN ON_SITE ROLE. NOT REMOTE> Candidates MUST be able to commute to Stuart FL Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for shell construction projects from conceptual through final design Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for the following scopes: Concrete: Grade Beams Stem Wall Footers Slab on Grade Cast-In-Place (CIP) Concrete: Columns Beams Conventional CIP Concrete Elevated Slabs: Tie Beams Concrete Beams Masonry: Structural Masonry Walls Bond Beams Framing: Structural Framing Roof Trusses Load Bearing Walls Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimate accuracy and project success Assist with bid submissions and presentations Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on shell or structural work Strong knowledge of concrete, masonry, structural steel, and structural framing. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Experience with large-scale residential or commercial shell construction projects Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Pay: From $1.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
