Job Title: Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager Job Location: Southampton, MAOverview:We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager to lead our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure full compliance with aerospace, defense, and customer-specific requirements. This role is critical in maintaining ISO 9001 & AS9100 certifications, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement within a precision machining environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 & AS9100 standardsManage certifications, audits, and regulatory compliance (customer & third-party)Drive CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9102, ITAR/EAR, DFARS, traceability)Oversee inspection processes, GD&T interpretation, and calibration systemsManage supplier quality, audits, and performance trackingSupport production teams in resolving quality issues and nonconformancesHandle customer quality communication, reporting, and documentation (FAIR, PPAP)Train teams and promote a strong quality and compliance cultureQualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or precision machiningHands-on experience with ISO 9001 & AS9100Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodsExperience with audits, CAPA, and root cause analysisPreferred:ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA)Experience in CNC machining environmentsFamiliarity with ERP/QMS systems (e.g., Epicor)Experience with aerospace suppliers (Tier 1 / Tier 2)Key SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and documentation skillsHigh attention to detail and regulatory complianceAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhat Success Looks LikeSuccessful maintenance of ISO & AS certificationsStrong audit performance and timely closure of findingsReduction in nonconformances and improved quality metricsHigh levels of customer and supplier quality performance
