Job Description: Job Purpose: Over the Road Drivers operate a commercial motor vehicle delivering product timely, safely, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Duties/ Responsibilities: Conducting Pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with company policy Reporting operational issues to supervision for resolve Maintains proper record of duty status in compliance with regulations. Operates a commercial motor vehicle in a safe and compliant manner representative of company values Abides by all local, state, and federal regulations and laws Completes monthly assigned safety trainings Always Maintains a valid medical card and Class A CDL Maintains adequate documentation as required by law for all interstate commerce regulated trips Follows all safety policies and procedures including any PPE requirements Always maintains a safe and compliant tractor and trailer- reporting any deficiencies to leasing maintenance provider Always ensures cargo securement prior to operation and weighs loads adjusting slide axle as needed and reporting any overweight issues prior to operation Maintaining awareness in route planning of restricted roads, overhead clearance, length limitations, and parking availability Job Requirements: Valid Class A CDL- w/ valid medical card Must be able to enter and exit a tractor multiple times a day without assistance. Must be able to lift the hood on a tractor to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections without assistance. Must be able to enter a catwalk and connect a trailer without assistance. Must be able to lift wheel chalks and chains weighing up to 40 lbs.
