General job duties. Types of procedures required. Gen Med. Typical procedures: IV starts, IV management, Foley cath placements, wound care, bladder scan ER: help with laceration suturing, life saving measures-, stabilizing critical patients prior to transfer, IV management. This is not an exhaustive listEquipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Epic computerized charting, Philips cardiac monitoring.Required skills and minimum years of experience. No minimum yrs of service.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) ACLS, CALS or TNCC, CPR-BLSShift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)Never work alone as in there are always 2 licensed staff on shift, will need to work all 3 shifts 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a and some 12 hour shifts 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends/holidays. If this RN would be willing to take call great otherwise not a requirement for a travel RN.Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) yes. Gen Med to ER, Gen Med to Outpatient NursingBed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. licensed for 8 beds. 1-2 beds per room. Average census 1-2 patients with 1-5 Outpatient nursing pts and 1-2 ER patients. These averages vary from shift to shift and day to day.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only). No ratio. Minimum staffing is 2 licensed nurses per shift with ability to call in extra help.Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs, closed toed shoesTell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program: will have a preceptor for orientation.
