Job Title: EKG Tech / Cardiovascular TechLocation: Salinas, CA 93901Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)Schedule: 8-Hour Variable Shifts | 40 Hours/WeekPay: $30 - $40/hr - W2Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced EKG Technician to join a busy Cardiology Department in Salinas, CA. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, Holter monitoring, cardiac stress testing, and related patient care activities. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists and healthcare staff.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, including:12-Lead EKGsHolter Monitor placement and scanningCardiac Stress Testing (Treadmill)Process and document test results using the MUSE SystemNotify the Cardiologist or Cardiology Supervisor immediately of any critical or abnormal findings.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Enter and update patient information in electronic medical records.Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on cardiology equipment.Participate in departmental Quality Improvement initiatives.Deliver age-appropriate patient care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.Perform additional duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Current BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)Minimum 1 year of experience performing:EKGsHolter MonitoringCardiac Stress Testing (Treadmill)Experience using the MUSE SystemStrong documentation and computer skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
