In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and cultivate a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence. Your expertise will help students build foundational skills in literacy, math, social studies, and science while also supporting their social-emotional growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys.DutiesDevelop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across multiple subjects including literacy education, math, social studies, and science.Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and productive learning environment.Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation.Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or in early intervention programs.Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education accommodations, and school-wide initiatives.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring compliance with education administration policies.RequirementsRequirementsProven classroom experience in teaching general studies or related subjects at the elementary or middle school level.Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.Demonstrated ability in lesson planning, curriculum development, and integrating learning technology tools.Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable.Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.Certification or licensure in teaching or relevant educational credentials preferred; ongoing professional development in Montessori or private school settings is a plus.
