Correct Solutions is looking for a Systems Administrator in North Louisiana to join our IT team! This will be an in office position. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing complex systems to ensure seamless operations across our organization. Design, implement, and maintain robust system architectures utilizing operating systems such as Windows and Linux, ensuring high availability and performance.
Configure and maintain Voice over IP (VoIP) systems.
Manage virtualization platforms including VMware and ESXi to optimize resource utilization and streamline deployment processes.
Oversee system administration tasks across diverse environments, including cloud services like AWS and Digital Ocean.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, Shell Scripting, and other tools to enhance system management and deployment workflows.
Configure and monitor network components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and computer networking protocols to ensure secure connectivity.
Implement security best practices by managing information security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls; conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
Support database management with expertise in MySQL.
Collaborate with development teams.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
Proven experience in system administration within diverse IT environments involving Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), and UNIX systems.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and vSphere; experience with server provisioning and management.
Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS (Amazon Web Services) for deploying scalable applications.
Scripting skills in Bash or Python are highly valued.
Expertise in configuring network components like firewalls (DNS/DHCP services), VPNs, and network security protocols.
Experience working with databases such as MySQL; ability to optimize queries and ensure data integrity.
Understanding of RESTful API design principles; experience integrating third-party APIs for system interoperability.
Familiarity with system design principles including RAID controllers for storage management.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues across operating systems, networks, databases, and application layers efficiently.
