Maintenance Mechanic
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our Small Engine equipment, repair of heavy construction, arbor and other type of equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, welding, and electrical systems. A background in working and supporting a diverse teams is a plus. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine repairs, diagnosing issues using schematics and ensuring safety standards are upheld across all maintenance activities. Night Mechanic has the responsibility of closing and securing facility.
Responsibilities
Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing complete preventive maintenance such as: engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and, replacing filters etc.. to minimize downtown.
Maintain functional equipment condition by listening to operator complaints; conductus inspections and repair of : engine failures, mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; parts and components and any other damages.
Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety and combustion control standards.
Keep shop equipment appearance by cleaning, washing and painting equipment.
Conduct welding repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
Collaborate with teams to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal impact on operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum two years of proven experience with small engine maintenance with a strong mechanical background.
Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics reading, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Team work skills are required.
Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting is a plus.
Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools
Supervising or leadership experience preferred but not required.
Prefer Bilingual skills in Spanish for clear documentation and teamwork.
Mechanical knowledge encompassing various repair techniques and preventive maintenance strategies. This Maintenance Mechanic role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to operational efficiency while working in a dynamic environment that values technical expertise and safety compliance.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
