Infrastructure Engineer

*About Tech Dynamix* We are a Northeast Ohio managed services provider with offices in Painesville and Hudson. We support small and mid-sized businesses across manufacturing, finance, healthcare, insurance, professional services, and non-profits. The work spans Microsoft 365 and cloud, network design, cybersecurity, compliance audits, backup and business continuity, and VoIP. Our promise to clients is fast response, straight talk, and solid results. We hold ourselves to the same standard internally. You will not spend your week in status meetings here. *About the role* Twelve months in, you will be the technical backstop for the team and the person we hand a project to when it has to be right the first time. The week is a mix. Some of it is escalations that Tier 2 could not close, which means real troubleshooting under time pressure with a client waiting. The rest is project delivery you own from scoping through cutover and documentation. You will also have made the escalation queue smaller than you found it, because you fixed causes instead of symptoms and wrote down what you did. *This is a full-time, salaried position* based out of Painesville or Hudson, whichever is the better commute for you, with regular travel to client sites across Northeast Ohio. What you will own * Escalation for anything past Tier 2. You are the technical backstop, and the reason a hard ticket stops bouncing. You also mentor the techs coming up behind you so fewer tickets reach you next quarter * Project delivery end to end: scoping, planning, cutover, and documentation good enough that the next person does not have to call you * Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID and Entra Connect, Intune, and conditional access and MFA policy, in environments where on-premises Active Directory and Exchange still coexist with the cloud * Remote Desktop Services environments: session hosts, RemoteApp, RD Gateway, profile management, and licensing, whether you are rebuilding one or standing it up from scratch * Client networks: firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, site-to-site and client VPN, and Wi-Fi, from design through maintenance * Windows Server and virtualization work, including upgrades, migrations, and Hyper-V or VMware on current-generation hardware * Backup and disaster recovery: building it, documenting it, and actually testing the restores *What we are looking for* *Required* * 5+ years supporting business IT environments, with real Windows Server depth (2016 and newer): Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file and print * Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration, including at least one migration you personally ran start to finish * Hybrid experience: Entra Connect or Azure AD Connect sync, hybrid Exchange coexistence, and at least one hybrid environment you have run or cut over * Remote Desktop Services: building and supporting session hosts, RemoteApp, RD Gateway, and licensing * Working experience with firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, and VPN * Comfortable troubleshooting virtualization at the host level in Hyper-V or VMware * PowerShell for real work, not just running scripts somebody else wrote * Valid driver's license and willingness to be on client sites across Northeast Ohio * Client-facing communication: you can walk a business owner through a cutover plan without condescending and without hiding behind jargon *Nice to have* * MSP experience, or any background supporting many client environments at once * PSA and RMM tooling such as ConnectWise, Datto, NinjaOne, or Kaseya * SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, or Ubiquiti in production * Backup platforms such as Datto, Veeam, or Acronis * FSLogix profile containers, or another RDS profile management approach * Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365 * Certifications: Microsoft 365 or Azure Administrator, CCNA, Network+, Security+ * Compliance exposure in HIPAA, PCI, or CMMC *Compensation and benefits* *$75,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on experience. Full-time and salaried, paid weekly by direct deposit.* * 401(k) with company match * Direct primary care group health coverage * Two weeks of paid time off, accrued each pay period * Six paid company holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas * Four additional paid floating holidays each year, used at your discretion * Paid bereavement leave * Mileage reimbursement for approved travel to client sites * An eight-hour workday inside an 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM window, with flexibility your supervisor can approve *Why this one is worth your time* * Variety. You will touch more environments in a year here than in five at a single company. * No layers. You talk to the owner and you talk to the client. Decisions happen the same day. * Real project work, not only a ticket queue. You will build things here, not just close things. * Two offices, Painesville and Hudson, so you can base out of whichever is the better commute. Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person
