Job OverviewFairview is looking for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN.Schedule: This role is a .75 FTE (60 hours every 2 weeks) 12-hour night shifts, with every third weekend rotation. The 4-star rating places Fairview Lakes in the top 30 percent of hospitals in the country.About this Unit:The Emergency Department has 24 beds and 3 teams: Team A - 8 rooms, Team B - 8 rooms & Team C - 7 rooms. The trauma room stands alone & we follow the Team Nursing model. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies. Our care delivery team consists of Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians, RNs, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, and Psych Associates. Teamwork is very important to success in the ED.Responsibilities:The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of careDevelops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health careDemonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)Required Qualifications:MN Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseBasic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)1 year Emergency Department RN experiencePreferred Qualifications:Charge RN experienceBachelors Degree in Nursing1 year RN experienceBenefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
