Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide detailed reports. Perform month-end close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold. Conduct profitability analysis for products and production lines. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and process improvements. Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a manufacturing context. Ability to analyze production costs, identify efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making. Bonus QualificationsFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or advanced SQL. Advanced user proficiency with a major ERP system's costing modules (e.g., SAP CO, Oracle Cost Management). Understanding of supply chain logistics and their impact on manufacturing costs.
