You are a key piece in the restaurant operation and direct the flow of service, working with the manager , the servers, and the kitchen on timing seatings to provide the best possible guest experience. You will greet guests with a smile as they enter and show them to their table , engag ing with guests to ensure their meal is as good as it should be . To do well in this role you should be comfortable standing for long periods and keeping order over a very busy shift.ESSENTIAL DUTIESGreet g uests promptly in a professional, friendly, and welcoming mannerManage waitlists using designated systemsProvide accurate wait time estimates and maintain communication with waiting guestsEscort guests to tables and present menus in accordance with service standardsMaintain awareness of table availability, server sections, and pacing of serviceCommunicate effectively with management, servers, and support staff regarding seating flowAdjust seating plans to optimize guest experience and operational efficiencyHandle inquiries regarding waitlist, hours, and menu offeringsAssist servers with set up and preopening workMaintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry areaSupport service team as needed during peak periodsOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to provide top notch customer service in a fast - paced environmentA positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staffDoes high quality work w ith minimal supervis ionPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS -This position is required to work days , evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation .Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactoril y .
