Employment Specialist, Employment ServicesStatus Full-time, 40 hours per weekSchedule Monday - Friday, 900 am - 500 pm with possible weekend shiftsLocation Camp HillPay $24.00 per hourWhat We’re Looking For6 months to 2 years of job coaching or related experienceKnowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autismValid driver’s license with at least 6 months of driving experienceAccess to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection18 years of ageAbility to communicate, read, write, and understand EnglishAbility to work independently with strong time management skillsPreferred ACRE or CESP certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hireAs an Employment Specialist, you’ll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding and keeping meaningful employment in their community. You’ll provide coaching, encouragement, and hands-on support that helps people build confidence, develop skills, and succeed in the workplace.What You’ll DoSupport individuals in finding and maintaining competitive, community-based employmentAssist with job applications, interview preparation, and job readiness skillsProvide on-site job coaching, training, and ongoing support at worksitesBuild relationships with employers to support successful job placementsCommunicate with individuals, families, and employers to help maintain stability and success on the jobEncourage independence, confidence, and strong decision-making skillsDevelop and follow individualized employment plans based on each person’s strengths, goals, and interestsObserve progress and provide guidance, feedback, and support as neededWhy UCP?Welcomes both entry level and experienced individuals.
