This role will focus on developing and executing software test procedures for requirements verification and Formal Qualification Testing of critical software components. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in software integration and system architecture with demonstrated experience performing requirements verification and/or accreditation of modeling and simulation software and physics-based models.Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearanceRequired Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience/combined education)Minimum 9 years of professional software engineering experience, or 7 years with a Master's degree and a related fieldStrong experience with Java, C++, and the Eclipse IDESolid understanding of UI/UX design principles and implementationExperience integrating with tools and technologies such as Jupyter Notebooks, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), and Digital AgilityExperience with requirements verification practices and processesJob Duties:Support the System Engineering Integration and Test functional organization in understanding software requirements and developing test processes and procedures to ensure those requirements are verifiedLead integration and test activities by developing tests based on written features in a highly collaborative environment, provide high-level insights to debug software, and ensure delivered software meets the needs of the customerVerify and validate that developed software adheres to software engineering standards, language style guides, best practices, and configuration management processesWork with the customer to understand how the software is used and develop appropriate tests to verify that functionalityWork with containerization tools like Docker an/or Podman to support the program's shift toward microservices and scalable deployment modelsCollaborate in a fast-paced Agile environment, utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence (Digital Agility) for sprint tracking, backlog grooming, and team collaborationParticipate in mixed classification and distributed computing environments for code development, deployment, and testingAssist the integration and test teams with understanding Feature development stories and developing tests and processes that assess requirements and software stabilityInterface with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software testers, product owners, and Lockheed program leadershipSupport test automation to improve test coverage and requirements verification scopePreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting DoD or aerospace/defense programsExperience with Test-Driven development practicesBackground in distributed systems, local compute cluster platforms / cloud architectures, and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Podman)Knowledge of OSF-G architecture or similar real-time frameworksExperience with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processesExperience with test automation
