The Ahold Delhaize USA company team includes just over 100 associates across all East Coast office locations.About the Role (individual contributor (Analyst IV internally)We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager Capacity Planning & Network Optimization as an individual contributor to drive enterprise-wide capacity strategies across stores, and distribution networks at Ahold Delhaize USA D&T.This role integrates capacity planning, network design, and advanced analytics to inform both operational and long-term strategic decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep analytical and data science capabilities and can clearly tie insights to financial outcomes.Key Responsibilities1. Capacity Planning & ForecastingLead end-to-end capacity planning across distribution centers, fulfillment nodes, and store operationsIdentify and proactively mitigate capacity constraints across labor, storage, and transportationDevelop and enhance forecasting models incorporating seasonality, promotions, and demand variabilityDrive short-term and long-range planning cycles, including peak season readiness2. Advanced Analytics & Data ScienceLeverage large datasets to build scalable analytical models for capacity and network optimizationApply time series forecasting, classification techniques, and clustering approaches to improve planning accuracyDemonstrate understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning methodologiesWork with concepts such as training vs. testing data, model validation, ROC curves, false positives/negatives, and model performance evaluationDevelop dashboards and tools using SQL, visualization platforms, and scripting languages (Python/R preferred)3. Network Design & OptimizationDesign and optimize the end-to-end supply chain network (DCs, fulfillment centers, store flows)Build scenario models to evaluate network changes such as new nodes, automation, and eCommerce growthAnalyze trade-offs between service levels, cost-to-serve, and capacity utilizationSupport strategic initiatives including network expansion, micro-fulfillment, and last-mile optimization4. Financial Impact & Strategic InsightsTranslate complex analyses into clear financial implications (cost savings, ROI, revenue impact)Support capital investment decisions through data-driven recommendationsIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost-to-serveEnsure all analysis is aligned with broader business and financial objectives5.
