LEAD CONTROLS SERVICE TECHNICIAN – SACRAMENTOPosition SummaryControlTech Solutions, a division of Intech Mechanical, Inc., is seeking an experienced Lead Controls Service Technician.Operating directly out of our Roseville headquarters, this role is pivotal to supporting our rapidly expanding local customer base across the Greater Sacramento Area. As our core regional hub grows, we are investing in strong field leadership to ensure superior response times, elevate service delivery, strengthen long-standing client relationships, and continue building upon the reputation we've established across Northern California. This position is ideal for an experienced Building Automation professional who excels at technical challenges, values strong customer connections, and wants to play a key role in driving local field operations. Working directly within our primary regional footprint, you'll be backed by an integrated team based right at headquarters, including executive leadership, project management, applications engineering, estimating, sales, dispatch, and administrative support. You'll have direct input on local project execution while leveraging the deep resources of an established mechanical contractor. As a primary field leader for the Greater Sacramento area, you will oversee the installation, startup, commissioning, service  and execution of commercial Building Automation System projects, covering both new construction and complex retrofit work. Working closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Sales, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Furthermore, you will mentor incoming technicians, help refine field standards, and play a direct hand in shaping our central field team. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted, local face of ControlTech Solutions, helping solidify customer partnerships, drive regional growth, and set the benchmark for our field operations. This role offers something many technician positions cannot: The opportunity to make a lasting impact on the direction and growth of an established business.Essential ResponsibilitiesTechnical Service & Project Execution·        Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial Building Automation Systems. ·        Perform startup, commissioning, and functional performance testing. ·        Configure controllers, field devices, and BAS networks. ·        Verify HVAC sequences of operation. ·        Troubleshoot HVAC equipment, sensors, actuators, controllers, VFDs, and communication networks. ·        Support programming implementation and controller replacements. ·        Perform preventative maintenance inspections. ·        Complete accurate service documentation and commissioning reports. ·        Deliver exceptional workmanship while maintaining company quality standards. Customer Relationships & Collaboration·        Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, facility managers, building owners, consulting engineers, general contractors, and project stakeholders. ·        Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support throughout all phases of project execution. ·        Collaborate with the Controls Sales Manager and Project Managers to ensure customer expectations are met and projects are delivered successfully. ·        Provide technical recommendations that improve system performance, reliability, and long-term value for our customers. ·        Identify potential service, retrofit, modernization, and future project opportunities and communicate them to the Controls Sales Manager. ·        Represent ControlTech Solutions professionally while demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, technical excellence, and customer service.Business Development SupportWorking closely with the Controls Sales Manager, this position will:·        Identify opportunities for additional service work. ·        Identify retrofit and modernization opportunities. ·        Assist with site walks and technical evaluations. ·        Support estimating efforts. ·        Provide technical expertise during customer meetings. ·        Develop relationships with engineers, contractors, and end users. ·        Share market intelligence and customer feedback with leadership. ·        Help strengthen ControlTech Solutions' reputation throughout the Greater Sacramento Area. CollaborationWorking closely with our Roseville headquarters, you'll collaborate with:·        Service & Controls Superintendent ·        Controls Sales Manager ·        Project Managers ·        Applications Engineers ·        Service Operations ·        Estimating ·        Accounting to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, professionally, and profitably.Minimum QualificationsMinimum seven (7) years of commercial Building Automation Systems experience. Extensive commercial HVAC knowledge. Advanced BAS troubleshooting experience. Startup and commissioning experience. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings. Excellent communication and customer relationship skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Union Affiliation, Compensation & BenefitsThis is a union position.
