Benhaven has an opening for a School Van DriverDriver Job DescriptionPosition: DriverReports to: Driver SupervisorHours: 40 hoursMonday-Friday 9a-5pLocation: North Haven, Wallingford and surrounding areasPurpose of PositionThis is a Fulltime, non-exempt unionized position. The Drivers will report directly to the Driver Supervisor. The ideal candidate must have or be eligible to obtain a V Endorsement on a valid CT license and be flexible.ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Drive students to and from school daily.Provide transportation for schools for community activities throughout the day.Keep assigned vehicle clean and tidy.Complete pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle.Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.Make sure all endorsements and licensures are up to date per agency policies & requirements.Attend all required trainings per agency and state policies & requirements.Follow all agency Policies & Procedures.Position Requirements'V' Endorsement is requiredFlexibilityClean Driver's recordAble to pass a DOT physicalAble to pass a variety of background checksPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
