Regional Product Manager - Packaging Coatings - Americas
PPG Is looking for an Americas Regional Product Manager to join our Packaging Coatings team! You will be responsible for driving profitable growth by leading the development, commercialization and optimization of the Packaging Coatings regional product offerings through a deep understanding of the dynamics across all segments of Packaging Coatings. You will work a hybrid schedule at our Pittsburgh, PA headquarters. You will report to the Regional General Manager of Packaging Coatings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop product portfolio management strategies to achieve optimization and reduce complexity of existing portfolio
Develop product life cycle optimization (product launch to elimination) and coordinate with commercial, supply and manufacturing to execute
Portfolio cost optimization including pricing, cost savings initiatives, and product transfer
Lead current product optimization projects, prioritizing regional needs for flawless execution
Execute new product innovation launch activities within region, driving accountability to deliver across all functions
Cultivate and maintain regional brand relationships and approvals
“Expert/ Go To” for product offerings
Support Sales organization for key account needs by providing insights on technology
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business or related field
At least 5 years' experience in product development, strategic marketing or product management
Strong business and technical acumen demonstrating ability to define, develop and execute opportunities
Financial experience: understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability
Ability to translate/quantify data and other information and make reliable decisions on viable business prospect identification
Ability to directly and effectively engage internal and external customers at all levels
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence without authority, in a matrixed environment (cross-functional, cross-regional, and cross-SBU)
Project Management certification a plus
Must be able to speak, read, write, and interpret technical information
Available to travel 25% annually both domestically and internationally (Americas)
