Come join our team!The Electrician 2 is responsible for performing residential, commercial, and industrial wiring, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of company-owned equipment and buildings under moderate supervision. This role requires a skill set demonstrating increasing independence and proficiency.Responsibilities of Position:Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of service equipment and wiring with moderate supervisionInstall new residential, commercial, and industrial service equipment under the guidance of senior managementAssist in supervising Electrical Contractors on projects as directed by the Electrical Department ForemanMaintain accurate daily time sheetsMaintain and ensure the safe operating condition of assigned equipment and tools in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulationsPerform skilled electrical maintenance and repair in a safe manner, complying with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policiesMaintain professional interactions with internal and external customersMaintain open communication with ManagementFollow all company policiesPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility:* This position will not manage employeesSkills & Abilities Needed for Position:Capable of using all electrical testing equipment and electrical tools.Ability to make code-compliant and safe repairs and installations with moderate supervisionAbility to work at different heights with necessary safety equipmentMust be available to be on-callRequires out-of-town overnight staysMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing job prioritiesExperience & Knowledge Needed for Position:Must have at least 3-5 years of commercial and industrial electrical experienceMotor control experience is a plusExperience bending and installing Rigid and EMT conduit is a plusProficiency with National Electrical Codes and OSHA regulationsCompletion or enrolled in a formal apprenticeship, preferredPhysical Requirements in a Regular Workday:Continuously lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbsFrequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbsOccasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbsContinuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditionsFrequently working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matterContinuously stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawlingContinuously climbing and/or balancingContinuously sitting/standing/walkingAdditional Working Conditions/Aspects:Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areasExposure to residential and commercial wasteAbility to travel between offices, as requiredAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidaysMust be available for 24-hour emergency callsLegally eligible to work in the United StatesValid driver's license (if applicable)Must successfully complete pre-employment testingMust be able to read and speak the English languageThis job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
