2026/2027 School Year POSITION: Physical Education Teacher - 1.0 FTEINTERNAL POSTING DATE: April 28, 2026INTERNAL CLOSING DATE: May 4, 2026POSTING DEADLINE: May 22, 2026/ or until filledSUMMARY:We are looking for a full-time PE Teacher to join our team at the Dexter Early Elementary Complex. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching physical education to Young Five through 2nd grade students. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, and be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach physical education coursesDevelop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of all studentsUse a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in learningAssess and evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parentsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progressCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and academic performance.Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programsParticipate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices in physical educationResponsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc., and provide documentation to the Human Resource office before the expiration date of said document(s) REQUIREMENTS:Must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate grade level certification.
