This includes providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy and expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business. You will determine specifications, plan, design, and develop business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes - either individually or in concert with product team.Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Java 17, Spring Boot 2-3, REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka connectors and Kafka Streams, GitHub Actions, Terraform, RabbitMQ, DynamoDB, Openshift, Azure AD, HashiCorp Vault, and JSON, Yaml.Architectural Knowledge: Expertise in event-driven architecture, pub/sub models, and microservices. Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, ELK, or Swarmia.Software Tools: Experience with Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.Designing SolutionsApply technical knowledge to drive outcomes for customersAbility to work and problem solve independently on initiatives that align to the broader software engineering strategyImplementing SolutionsMember of team that can work independently, as well as collaboratively with team, in developing core software for the product that delivers outcomes.Consistent and dependable in delivering core software that delivers outcomes and meets/exceeds the teams expectations for stability, scalability, resilience, etc.Member can independently handle all phases of the API development lifecycle, from design to deployment.Learning and Applying New TechniquesShares new ideas and techniques with team; Encourages junior engineers to invest in learning as a part of their job.Collaborating within the TeamParticipate in team's collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise to solve a problem/remove technical roadblocks for the teamParticipate in product planning and implementation.
