Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Full Time & Per DiemAvir at Dripping Springs is seeking motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation program within a skilled nursing facility setting. Positions are available for both full-time and per diem schedules.The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services focused on subacute rehabilitation, functional recovery, and successful transition of patients back to their highest level of independence.The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, focusing on improving patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility tasks, and functional skills.Responsibilities include providing hands-on therapy interventions, documenting patient progress accurately and timely, and communicating effectively with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary care team.The COTA will contribute to discharge planning and collaborate with nursing, therapy staff (PT, PTA, OT, SLP), and physicians to support coordinated patient care and optimal rehabilitation outcomes.Additional responsibilities include maintaining productivity standards, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients in the subacute setting.Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Texas (required)Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programExperience in skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation preferred, but not requiredStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow clinical direction and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary teamCommitment to patient-centered care and functional recoveryClinical implementation of occupational therapy treatment plansPatient-centered care in subacute rehabilitationStrong communication with OT and interdisciplinary teamsDocumentation accuracy and complianceTeam collaboration (PT/OT/SLP integration)Compassionate and hands-on therapeutic care deliveryThis position is based in an in-house subacute rehabilitation program within a skilled nursing facility. The COTA will work closely with licensed therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to support patient recovery and functional improvement. Scheduling may vary based on full-time or per diem availability, and flexibility is appreciated based on patient needs and facility census.
