Brief DescriptionPosition Overview: ERA seeks motivated Structural Engineer Interns to join our team for the summer. This will be a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience by working alongside Professional Engineers. A successful Structural Engineer Intern candidate is a motivated engineering student with strong analytical skills and a desire to learn in a professional, team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural design calculations under the guidance of a licensed engineerAssist in preparation of structural drawings and construction documentsReview contract submittals, including shop drawings and product dataParticipate in on-site observations and assist in field report preparationUpdate and maintain project specific analysis spreadsheets and technical documentation Hours May – September (can be flexible on start and end date): Full-Time non-exempt summer internship at 40 hours per weekIn – Person Core Office Hours:9:00am-3:00pm Monday- ThursdayFriday Flex – 9:00am-12:00pmRequirementsMust be a current student working towards Bachelor’s or Master's in Civil or Structural EngineeringMust be in 2nd year of studies and have successfully completed Calculus I and Physics I or Statics by start of internship.Additional courses in Structural Analysis, Steel Design and Concrete design are preferred.GPA must be 3.0 or higher SummaryAbout Us: ERA Structural Engineering provides full service structural engineering for a broad range of facility types.
