Mitchell Construction is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator. In this role you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for utility construction projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry and gain hands-on experience in bidding, quantity takeoffs, vendor coordination, and project analysis. The Junior Estimator will work closely with executive and field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to help ensure bids are complete, timely, and profitableKEY RESPONSIBILITIES·      Assist in preparing cost estimates for utility construction projects including water, sewer and storm drain infrastructure.·      Measure quantities from project plans and specifications.·      Request and review pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.·      Assist with organizing bid documents and preparing proposals·      Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope.·      Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to confirm scope and pricing.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS·      1+ years of experience in construction or estimating.·      Basic understanding of construction plans, specifications, and civil/site drawings.·      Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office·      Knowledge of utility construction methods and materials is preferred.·      Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.·      Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS·      Competitive base salary, 50,000-65,000+ depending on experience·      Paid time off, holiday pay and 401k·      Medical and dental insurance
