Video Editor - Apprentice

Overview We are seeking a motivated and creative Video Editor - Apprentice to join our dynamic media team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in video production, post-production, and content creation within a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn the latest editing techniques using industry-standard software. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working on diverse projects, from editing videos to creating motion graphics and supporting overall content development. Responsibilities Assist in editing video footage using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or Avid to produce polished final products. Support the creation of motion graphics and visual effects utilizing Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D. Contribute to photo editing and manipulation projects with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One. Aid in organizing and managing media assets through Adobe Bridge, FTP systems, and content management systems. Collaborate with the team on filming and videography tasks, including setting up shots and capturing footage. Help with graphic design elements such as typography and layout using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. Participate in post-production processes including color correction, sound syncing, and exporting videos for various platforms. Learn to operate professional equipment and software to support all phases of video production from filming to final delivery. Maintain organized project files and adhere to deadlines while ensuring high-quality output. Qualifications Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Bridge, and Acrobat. Familiarity with Final Cut Pro or Avid is a plus. Understanding of photo editing, photo manipulation, motion graphics, and video editing techniques. Experience or interest in photography, videography, 3D animation (Cinema 4D or Maya), and content creation is desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Eagerness to learn new skills related to post-production workflows, content management systems, and emerging technologies in digital media. Prior experience with FTP transfer protocols or content management platforms is advantageous but not required.
