Our mission is to build a leading global metal manufacturing and assembly organization combining technology with superior quality manufacturing capabilities executed by our best asset - our employees.Position SummaryThe Shift Supervisor will lead operations in our Miyano and BNE CNC machining department. This role is responsible for supervising operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement within the department. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong CNC experience, particularly with Miyano or similar high-precision turning centers, and a passion for improving efficiency, quality, and team performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support CNC operators during assigned shiftOversee production on Miyano and BNE CNC machinesEnsure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are metMonitor machine uptime, cycle times, and productivityTroubleshoot machining or tooling issuesCoordinate with quality, maintenance, and production planning teamsTrain and develop operators and setup techniciansDrive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and scrap reductionMaintain accurate production and shift reportsEnforce company policies and safety proceduresRequired Qualifications5+ years of CNC machining experience2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferredStrong knowledge of CNC turning operations (Miyano experience highly preferred)Experience with BNE or similar multi-spindle / bar-fed CNC equipmentAbility to read blueprints and GD&TExperience with tooling, offsets, and process troubleshootingStrong leadership and communication skillsExperience with ERP or shop floor systems (Epicor a plus)Preferred SkillsHigh-volume precision machiningHydraulic or automotive componentsLean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesSetup and process optimizationQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, engineering, or manufacturing preferred.3+ years of CNC machining experience in a tooling or precision manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of steels, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes.Experience with CNC programming and CAM software.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.Key Success MetricsProduction output vs scheduleMachine uptime / OEEScrap and rework reductionTeam engagement and trainingCompensation and BenefitsJob Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Benefit EligibleProjected Salary: $30-35 per hour (based on experience)Benefit Offerings: Paid Holidays; Paid Vacation/Sick Time; Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance; Disability Insurance; Life Insurance; Flexible Health Spending Account; 401(k) with employer match; Discretionary Bonus Program; Education Assistance; Professional Development.*Benefit eligibility subject to company policy and benefit summary plan description.MultiTech Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
