Job Title: Commercial Logistics Business Analyst IIILocation: Houston, TX (Zip Code: 77042)Duration: 12 Months (Contract)Pay Rate: $67 – $68.67 per hourPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Logistics Business Analyst III to join the Commercial Logistics Business Improvement team. This role supports system integrations, data integrity, analytics, and process optimization within transportation and logistics operations.The ideal candidate will work independently on moderately complex to advanced assignments, supporting SAP/ERP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), while driving continuous improvement initiatives across rail and truck logistics operations.This position requires strong analytical capabilities, technical proficiency, and the ability to translate complex business and system data into actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and monitor SAP integrations with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), including troubleshooting issues and performing root-cause analysis.Act as a subject matter resource for TMS platforms, providing guidance and user support across business teams.Analyze logistics and operational data to identify trends, improve visibility, and support data-driven decision-making.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, upgrades, and integration initiatives.Document business processes, system changes, and improvement initiatives, including reporting outcomes and business impact.Support logistics performance improvements, including freight management system enhancements and operational optimization.Maintain data integrity by monitoring key system transactions and ensuring accurate data flow across platforms.Analyze end-to-end logistics processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting consistency.Work independently on complex assignments while escalating risks and coordinating resolutions with stakeholders.Required QualificationsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.4+ years of experience in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), SAP, ERP platforms, and process improvement initiatives.Strong knowledge of rail and truck logistics operations, including shipment tracking, carrier management, and freight optimization.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience documenting business requirements, workflows, and system processes.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced contractor environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP R/3 systems.Knowledge of vendor billing documents, shipment cost documents, nominations, and ticket actualization.Experience integrating TMS data with ERP systems and enterprise platforms.Ability to map end-to-end business processes and improve data accuracy and reporting.Experience in rail and truck logistics optimization initiatives.About the RoleThis role is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics and systems professional who thrives in complex operational environments.
