About the role We’re looking for a Construction Project Manager to drive the successful completion of multiple ground-up residential projects. You’ll use Type Five’s software to manage schedules, coordinate procurement, support contractors, communicate with clients, and ensure consistently excellent work across our job sites. You’ll split your time between office work and visiting projects to meet with clients and contractors, solve problems, and keep construction moving forward. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who combines strong field judgment with exceptional communication, technical fluency, and an eagerness to improve how homes are built. What you’ll do: Autonomously manage multiple ground-up residential projects from ADUs to single family homes. Own project schedules and keep clients, contractors, and internal teams aligned. Coordinate procurement so materials arrive accurately and on time. Support subcontractors by resolving issues and removing obstacles. Maintain clear, proactive, and trusted client communication. Monitor workmanship and uphold Type Five’s quality standards. Identify ways to improve our operations, construction details, internal software, and contractor experience. Collaborate closely with our COO and Head of Construction, as well as our design, operations, and software teams. What you’ll bring: At least three years of experience overseeing construction projects. Strong residential construction knowledge; design-build or ground-up homebuilding experience is preferred. Experience managing subcontractors, project schedules, and competing priorities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Confidence working with clients and building productive contractor relationships. Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving ability. Comfort learning and using software to manage complex projects. High agency, sound judgment, and the ability to operate autonomously.
