Mission Real Estate Development Intern

Position Summary:The Summer Intern provides project and program support to the Mission Real Estate Development (MRED) initiative as part of the Trinity Church NYC Philanthropies team.This initiative works with aligned faith partners throughout the Episcopal Church in the United States, and across the Anglican Communion in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean to help churches and dioceses build sustainable financial capacity for ministry through the creative development of missionally-aligned, income-producing real estate projects that have a direct social impact on the neighborhoods they serve. The MRED team provides strategic advisory, training, and grants to partners to support this work to advance "mission through marketplace".Hours Per Week: Up to 28 hours a week | Monday - Thursday| Pay Rate for Undergraduate Students: $20 an hour | Pay Rate for Grad Students: $25 - $30 an hourTo be considered you must be a student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The Internship will run from June 1st, 2026 - July 31st, 2026.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Project SupportLeads at least two (and up to four) detailed case studies of completed grants, highlighting key performance metricsLeads initial evaluation and analysis of grant application and reports to ensure alignment with key performance priorities, including recommended changesProgram SupportSupports Program Officer(s) to organize grantee convenings, trainings, and events.Provides program and presentation support to the MRED team.Supports organization and communication of resources and tools for grantee support.Supports database management for ongoing projects and maintains up-to-date contact information for grantees, partners, contractors, and other stakeholders.Proactively suggests ideas for process or system improvements.Contributes to team discussions and planning.Internal Engagement & Team CultureSummer intern will be offered exposure to wide range of activities, with particular focus given to current field of study, related to the four MRED areas of focus: Training, Strategic Advisory, Field Building, and Grants.Coordinates with other summer interns in the Philanthropies team on calendars, events and department-wide activities.Adheres to confidentiality rules and all other Trinity Church NYC's policies, procedures, and rules.Performs all duties in a manner that promote Trinity's Ways of Being.Assumes other related responsibilities and special projects as required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Activities:Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointProficiency in Zoom, WebEx, and other video-conferencing toolsFamiliarity with AirTable or relational databasesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with meeting planning and related logisticsCreative, problem solverDetail-orientedTeam player and experience working in a team contextDemonstrates flexibility when assigned new tasks, new goals, and new systems and processesExcellent interpersonal skillsOrganized, courteous and able to handle multiple prioritiesCultural awareness and the willingness to learn and to work with diverse cultures and populationsRequired and Preferred Education, Experience, and Credentials:Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in real estate, data science, economic development, finance, urban planning, philanthropy, non-profit management, or related field.Passion for social change.
