Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Controller based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The Accounting Controller will oversee financial operations, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing financial reporting, and maintaining accurate business controls. Day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting financial analyses, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and implementing budgeting procedures to support business goals. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline finance processes and provide insights that guide decision-making. There is a heavy royalty reporting component, that needs to be streamlined with AI.QualificationsMust be an expert with Netsuite by Oracle, this is not a job for Quick Books folks. This is non-negotiableStrong expertise in Business Control and financial oversight, at least 5 years working for an Entertainment companyProficient Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data and assist in business strategyExperience in preparing and analyzing Financial StatementsKnowledge of Finance and Financial Reporting practices and complianceExceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insightsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plusProven track record in a similar role within the entertainment industry is highly desirableAdvanced knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems Netsuite experienceStrong communication and leadership skills to manage cross-departmental collaboration
