Job DescriptionDoyon Government Group (DGG) provides Design-Build and General Construction Services on demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations.DGG hires Construction QC Managers nationwide for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) construction projects.The Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) holds the primary responsibility of directly reporting to the Project Manager andCorporate Management regarding the verification of adherence to all quality standards across our projects. Operating at the project level, the Quality Control Manager plans, coordinates, and supervises the implementation of construction quality control and quality assurance programs. Additionally, this position is tasked with creating, reviewing, and amending Project Quality Plans to keep current and ensure compliance with the contract, established standards, methods, and specifications.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Create and manage the Quality Control Plan for success on assigned construction projectsRead and understand complex contract specifications, documents, and architectural/engineering/mechanical, and electrical drawingsInterpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesDefine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsReview and approve submittals, process, and understand RFI’sCreate a Daily Activity Report to be a detailed, thorough, and complete historical record of the day’s daily activitiesWork with others in a team environment to ensure contract requirements, project goals, and objectives are metCommunicate and reason with client’s quality assurance personnel and technical experts, and field quality assurance, technical authorities, and construction supervisory representativesMake presentations, host meetings, and engage in problem-solving by bringing together technical experts, authorities having jurisdiction, assigning action items, documenting minutes, and follow through to closureProficiency in QCS/RMS software applications, Word, Excel, and OutlookPrepare graphs, charts of data, proposals, reports, and manualsImplement the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Three Phase Quality Control ProcessRead/analyze survey shots (grade and elevation)Mentor Quality Control SpecialistsContinuing education in related fieldsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Depending on the size, complexity, and number of Definable Features of Work, this position manages the Project Quality Control Plan, ensures all contract requirements are being met, and supervises project Quality Control Inspectors. QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years' quality control experienceExperience working on construction projects with USACE and/or NAVFACDemonstrated track record and references as a certified QC Specialist/Manager on federal construction projectsConstruction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification or ability to obtain/renewExperience overseeing multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in USACE Quality Control System (QCS) and/or Resident Management System (RMS)Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with an emphasis on ExcelPreferred:Valid OSHA 10/30 certificationValid First Aid/CPR certificationLeadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certificationCompany DescriptionDoyon Government Group (DGG) is comprised of a family of companies with 8(a), small, and disadvantaged business (SDB) set-aside certifications, and extensive in-house resources.
