(CPS) is an Information Technology consulting and staffing company offering a broad range of services aimed at helping our clients deliver high-quality, cost-effective systems.We are currently searching for an Information Systems Engineer to support our client in Tucson, AZ. This is an on-site position.Employment Type: Full-Time or W2 ContractCompensation: Open to Negotiation DOEAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required.Position SummaryThe Information Systems Engineer will support secure engineering lab environments, test equipment, and networked test systems used in aerospace and defense programs. This position is responsible for administering Windows and Linux systems, maintaining cybersecurity-compliant environments, supporting secure networks, and ensuring the reliability and availability of engineering and production test systems.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and validate Windows, Linux, and networked test systems.Support secure engineering lab environments and test equipment.Install, configure, patch, and maintain servers, workstations, software, and system components.Develop and maintain cybersecurity-compliant test environments.Support NIST 800-171 compliance and other system security requirements.Utilize cybersecurity and monitoring tools such as Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti, or similar technologies.Troubleshoot system connectivity, software, configuration, performance, and test integrity issues.Support the integration of test systems into secure and controlled network environments.Collaborate with engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams to implement system changes and enhancements.Maintain system availability, reliability, and operational readiness.Support production test, engineering lab, and flight test environments.Document system configurations, compliance activities, system updates, and troubleshooting efforts.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering Windows and Linux systems in secure or controlled environments.Experience supporting cybersecurity-compliant systems, engineering labs, or test equipment.Experience installing, configuring, patching, and maintaining servers, workstations, and software.Strong troubleshooting skills supporting servers, workstations, networks, and integrated test systems.Experience supporting production, development, engineering, or laboratory test environments.U.S. Citizenship is required.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.Preferred QualificationsActive Secret Security Clearance.Knowledge of NIST 800-171, RMF, or similar cybersecurity frameworks.DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CISM, or equivalent).Experience supporting operational technology (OT), networked test systems, or third-party system integrations.Experience with Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, or patch management tools.Experience with user account administration, software installation, and desktop support.Experience validating system configurations and maintaining compliance documentation.Experience working in classified or secure environments.Experience supporting production test, flight test, engineering labs, or mission-critical test systems.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams.Commercial Programming Systems, Inc.
