As a Lutron Diamond Dealer and Savant Platinum Ambassador, we design, engineer, install, and service the most technically demanding custom homes in South Florida — including signature communities like Panther National, Atlantic Fields, and Admiral's Cove.We are expanding our Lutron division and hiring a Lutron Systems Designer & Programmer. The primary focus of this role is Lutron motorized shades — Sivoia QS, Palladiom, and Triathlon — with secondary responsibility for Lutron lighting control. You will own the complete shade scope on every project: measuring windows, specifying fabrics and hardware, coordinating pocket and bracket details with the GC, building bills of materials, and programming and commissioning the finished system. On the lighting side, you will support HomeWorks QSX, RadioRA 3, and Ketra design and programming alongside our existing lighting team.This is a dual-hat role: you will own Lutron system design on the front end (bills of materials, riser diagrams, shade schedules, keypad layouts, load schedules) and commissioning on the back end (programming, scene-building, testing, client sign-off). You will work directly with our sales team, builders, architects, interior designers, and window treatment consultants to deliver flawless systems from first design review through one-year post-CO service.Please note: This is not an IT, stage/theatrical lighting, or commercial audio engineering role. It is a residential low-voltage design and field commissioning position centered on Lutron, with supporting knowledge of AV, control, and home automation.Shade Design & Engineering (Primary Focus)• Own the complete Lutron shade scope — Sivoia QS, Palladiom, Triathlon shade models & motorized drapery — from initial design review through final commissioning.• Conduct on-site window measurements with precision; identify pocket, bracket, and power conditions that need to be coordinated with the GC, architect, or electrician before rough-in.• Specify fabrics, hembars, fascias, and mounting hardware in coordination with the client, interior designer, and window treatment consultant.• Build complete shade schedules and bills of materials; prepare visual aids and samples for showroom and on-site selection meetings.• Coordinate shade logistics — lead times, site delivery, staging, and installation sequencing — with project managers and field techs.• Flag structural, aesthetic, or integration issues early and propose clean solutions the client and designer will approve.Required• 2+ years designing, programming, and commissioning Lutron shade systems — Sivoia QS, Palladiom, and/or Triathlon — in residential environments.• Hands-on experience measuring windows, specifying fabrics and hardware, and coordinating pocket and bracket conditions in custom homes.• Working experience with Lutron lighting control — HomeWorks QS or QSX, and/or RadioRA 2 or 3.• Solid grasp of lighting and shading fundamentals: load types, dimming curves, scene logic, keypad design, processor architecture, and integration protocols.• Ability to read architectural, electrical, and reflected ceiling plans; comfort with risers, wiring diagrams, load schedules, and device maps.• Strong troubleshooting instincts and a calm, client-friendly presence in finished luxury homes.• Valid driver's license with a clean record; reliable local travel to job sites across Palm Beach, Martin, and Indian River counties.Preferred• Current Lutron certifications — Shades, HomeWorks, Ketra, and/or Designer/Programming courses.• Experience integrating Lutron with Savant and Josh AI in residential environments.• Familiarity with low-voltage wiring standards, NEC basics, and coordination with licensed electricians.• Background in residential lighting design, layout, or fixture specification.• Experience in luxury custom residential — comfort working alongside high-end GCs, architects, interior designers, and window treatment consultants.Requirements • Must own a basic set of working hand tools.
