The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced leader responsible for the site supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all nursing program activities. This includes managing the program budget, faculty and staff, clinical site liaison, curriculum development, and ensuring program compliance with regulatory standards. The Dean will also be a student advocate, involved in the preparation of various reports and proposals, and will oversee the admission process and orientation. Additionally, the role involves maintaining educational partnerships, serving on program committees, and actively participating in faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation. Applicants for the Dean position must hold a current RN license and a master's or higher degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration. A minimum of 2 years' in an administrative role, 2 years' of teaching experience in nursing programs, and at least 2 years' of direct patient care as a registered nurse are required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to diversity. The role demands a leader with a collaborative and facilitative style, the ability to work with a wide variety of people and institutions, and experience in supervision, planning, and budget management.
